Q & A

Why are PEMF Machines so Expensive?

PEMF machines are priced the way they are because they are made up of components that must be carefully assembled to generate an electromagnetic field that is considered safe, effective, and pure.

These components include a control box with complex wiring systems in the body of the box and the mat of “PEMF mat,” which is made of durable, high quality materials that will safely house a copper coil and other therapeutic components, while providing a way for pulses of electromagnetic energy to the body safely and effectively.

The coil used to generate an electromagnetic field should be made up of pure copper.

Although pure copper is not as expensive as, say, gold, or other precious metals, copper can be quite pricey, especially if it is of good quality, as is necessary to create the ideal PEMF therapy machine.

The more coils there are in a mat, the more the mat is likely to cost, and many higher-powered and higher-quality machines will use multiple coils to provide therapy that is distributed evenly throughout the mat.

When evaluating the price of a mat, try to determine how many coils are included in the mat, or the size of the coil, and adjust your expectations for the machine’s price.

The mats, themselves, are also made up of durable materials, in order to stand up to repeated uses and the inclusion of electricity-emitting parts.

A mat that houses a copper coil that has electricity supplied to it must be thick, lined with material that is electricity-safe, and comfortable enough to be used regularly, all of which can quickly add up.

Most PEMF mats are made up of several layers, and utilize materials that are designed to last countless uses and several years, in keeping with PEMF mats’ notoriously lengthy warranties.

Although PEMF therapy machines are not medical-grade devices along the lines of MRI or x-ray machines, they are complex electronic devices that supply a steady stream of energy, use electricity, and require the proper housing and compilation of items that makes the mats safe and effective.

Computers cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, as do cell phones, and other electronic devices, and PEMF machines are no different: they must be assembled and distributed in very specific ways, and as such, they cannot be manufactured and sold as quickly as easily as a toy, a supplement bottle, or another device that does not possess complicated and delicate electrical components.

Although PEMF machines are not cheap, they are also not always prohibitively expensive.

Buying used machines, buying a machine in a group, or buying a machine during a sale or a special can all help defray some of the costs associated with PEMF therapy machines.

With prices ranging from as low as $300, PEMF therapy machines can actually be extremely cost effective devices, given the amount of healing they have been linked to, and the potentially low cost of machines.

To determine whether or not a machine is feasible for you, search local buy/sell/trade sites, speak with friends and loved ones who live nearby, and search for payment programs associated with your preferred brand.
